Best Alternative Entertainment Live Party Band. This Show Band features R&B, Disco, Soul & Dance Music from every decade.

The Electrolytes include a diverse membership. The band was envisioned by bassist Mel Wells and realized with guitarist Pat Wallace. Their connections with the Boston rock scene, the drag scene and Boston Rock Opera allowed them to connect with some very talented folks. The idea was to create a truly joyous, spirited and entertaining revue by playing some of the greatest soul and dance songs ever written.

The front line (inspired by 60's girl groups) sing and dance and intensely sell the songs. The vocalists Rashida, Ivory and Trinity support the band with their strong vocals, their creativity, their dance moves and their charisma. The band has an amazing pool of talented musicians. Their experience and backgrounds and work ethic have produced one of the better bands in the Boston area.

The Front Line

The Band

Ivory

Vocals
Rashida Ayanna is a warm and embracing Cancer. At the tender age of 21 years she has managed to perform in many venues: from being a soloist at the Buffalo Bills Annual Gala to the NBA All-Star Players Ball from singing with the Michael Bolton World Tour and the Paul Anka US Tour as well as her background in musicals such as "Dreamgirls," "Little Shop of Horrors," "An Evening of Sondheim," and "Smokey Joe's Café." She has also had experience singing with gospel acts such as Vicki Winans, Nnena Freelon, Dorothy Norwood, Donnie Mcklurkin and Calvin Bridges. Rashida is a vision of loveliness and her vocals have genuine tenderness and earth-shattering heartache to them. She is currently an instructor at Bristol Studios in Boston and a full-time student at Berklee College of Music. She also performs with Soul/Hip Hop band Spontaneous.

Ivory

Vocals
Ivory is a full-fledged Pisces — extremely sensitive to her surroundings, and deeply into the arts. She discovered her calling as a singer and performer very early on, learning "The Greatest Love of All" by ear upon first hearing Whitney Houston (bless her...) sing it on television. Since then, she has made sure to be involved in some form of the arts, from acting in her high school's theatre company, to leading recitals and singing in concerts at Berklee College of Music, where she studied Music Business and Management, and recently graduated Summa cum Laude.

Trinity Satine

Vocals
Trinity Satine is a vivacious 22-year old Libra in constant pursuit of that ying-yang balance. She stepped onto the stage almost 10 years ago. Having appeared in such Shakespearean works as Romeo & Juliet and A Midsummer Night's Dream (as Puck), she's been able to reach higher levels of theatrical expression. With musical training including Fiddler on the Roof, My Fair Lady, West Side Story (as Tony), and Crazy For You (as Bobby Child), she's gained a greater appreciation for dance as well as her own voice.

Melissa Wells

Vocals and Guitar
Pat Wallace has been a live performer all his life. His musical interest have taken him everywhere from blues to bluegrass, but he's never wandered too far or for too long from R&B and dance music. he's happiest when playing "chicken-pickin'" rhythm-funk guitar and singing high harmonies with the girls. although highly regarded as a guitarist and singer, his motto is "it's always better to be fun than to be good." He is also currently in Robin Lane and the Chartbusters and The Swallows.

Melissa Wells

Bass
Melissa Wells was born under the sign of Aquarius. She became a fan of rhythm and blues after discovering a live recording of Ike and Tina Turner in a cut-out bin back when the Ramones ruled the planet. She has been involved in the Boston music scene for years and noticed that the city was missing pure high energy soul and the unadulterated joy of glitter - so began the resurrection of a tradition with a new twist - the Electrolytes.

Carol Namkoong

Keyboards
Carol Namkoong is a Capricorn. She has eclectic musical taste which includes classical, rock, funk, punk, and Cumbia. She has played in various musical groups throughout her life. Carol met Paula and Melissa during Boston Rock Opera's production of Jesus Christ Superstar 2000. She has also played keyboards in BRO's "Abbey Road," TMax's "The Majestic Din Society's Sgt. Pepper," and BRO's "Aqualung." She has lived in CO, IA, CA, NJ, NY, Russia, and has been living in Cambridge off and on since 1988. Her off-stage activities include traveling, running, skiing, darts, and foosball.

Drums
Dan Capotosto "The Clock" is an Aquarian. He has been playing drums since he was a child. Music has always been a part of his life. Dan is a dynamic performer whose repertoire includes R&B, rock, jazz and alternative music. Dan recently played drums for Boston Rock Opera's production of "Aqualung."
